Chef’s dish 4,50 € Click & collect — order online, pick up in store — is often underrated. Yet it is one of the most profitable channels: no courier, no delivery fee, and with your own solution, no commission. Here is how to set it up effectively.
Why click & collect deserves your attention
The customer comes to you: no rider to pay, no delivery zone to manage. The margin is intact. It is also a reassuring channel for the customer, who controls their pickup time and avoids waiting at the counter.
Get your pickup slots right
The key to good click & collect is time management. Offer clear pickup slots, spaced according to your kitchen capacity. This smooths footfall and prevents an order traffic jam at peak time.
Make pickup obvious
- Clearly state the pickup point as soon as the order is confirmed
- Notify the customer when their order is ready
- Label bags with the name or order number
Put it forward
A profitable channel is useless if it stays invisible. Mention click & collect on your website, in your app, on-site with a QR code, and in your notifications. The more the habit sets in, the more volume you shift away from commission-charging platforms.
The best sales channel is the one that costs neither commission nor delivery fee.
